We can hardly believe it's been 7 years since our little princess came into our family. Man how the time has gone by fast. She is growing into a beautiful young lady right before our eyes.
We celebrated her birthday this past weekend with some dear friends and family. She was all smiles and could hardly contain her joy. The weeks leading up to the party she informed me she would like to have a Jessy party, from Toy Story 3. So we spent time each day together working on the decorations and deciding the menu and cake.
This was my first ever attempt at cake making and all was well. I'm very thankful she was satisfied with a simple design, that worked in my favor. After several calls to Mom for help we finally had a finished product. Now, the cutting of the cake will require me to get lessons..... it looked horrible on each plate. I felt the need to apologise and assure everyone it really would taste ok. :~)Her highlight of the party was opening a gift with a Jessy costume in it. Squeals of joy rang through the house. She changed into the outfit quickly and for the rest of the day asked us to call her Jessy not Jacie.
